GOLF COURSE REVIEWS BEST COURSES ON TOUR
These golf course reviews of tour courses are strictly my own opinion. As tour caddies we are often asked; what are the best courses played on tour? All courses on tour are good but some are better then others. My top 5 are Augusta National, TPC Sawgrass, Muirfield Village, Bay Hill, and Pebble Beach.
Augusta National is absolutely incredible. Over the years all the golf course reviews consistantly rank Augusta as one of the best. If you have never been to the Masters you need to go. I will never forget being on the fairways and looking at the grass, it was so perfect it actually looked fake. One thing you don't realize about Augusta by watching on TV is how much elevation change there actually is.

TPC Sawgrass is a great design by Pete Dye. He does an incredible job on all his layouts. Each time you stand on the tees of a Dye course he makes you want to play that hole. At Sawgrass all the holes are challenging and have a good look to them. To find out more about TPC at Sawgrass visit

Muirfield Village is a Jack Nicklaus design which has a great combination of long and short holes. The short holes requige pinpoint accuracy both off the tee and the iron shots into the green. All the par 5s are reachable but not without risk in doing so. The combination of these golf holes and the elevation change make you wonder if you are playing in the middle of Ohio.
Bay Hill is Arnold Palmers baby. What a great golf course located in central Florida. Bay Hill is not a typical Florida golf course; the elevation change on this course takes away any Florida look. Each hole is uniquely different from the other and require a lot of demanding iron shots to difficult hole locations. You must play here if ever in the Orlando area.

Located in beautiful Monterey, California Pebble Beach maybe golfs most well known course. You will need to keep your concentration at Pebble, fourteen of the eighteen holes offer beautiful ocean view scenery providing plenty of distractions. Pebble Beach has one of the greatest short holes in golf. The par 3, 7th is proof golf holes don't need to be long to be good. This 100yd down hill par 3 is surrounded by traps and water, normally a sand wedge, but I have heard stories of players hitting 4 irons here when the wind gets blowing. Even in calm conditions it provides plenty of difficulty.
There are a lot of great courses played on tour, other tour caddies golf course reviews may be different then mine. But these are what I consider the 5 best courses.
