Pebble Beach Golf Vacation

Don't forget your camera, a Pebble Beach golf vacation provides one of the most scenic destinations on tour. Located between Monterey and Carmel Californis, Pebble Beach presents golf fans some of the most scenic views of any PGA Tour stop. The combination of steep rocky cliffs, scattered with California cypress trees holding back the turbulent blue waters of the Pacific offer a special beauty everone should see.

Three of the most popular golf courses on the Monterey peninsula are Pebble Beach, Poppy Hills, and Spy Glass. Other area courses to play are Bayonet & Black Horse, Del Monte, Laguna Seca, Monterey Pines, and Quail Lodge Resort. I don't want to neglect mentioning Cypress Point, one of the top ten golf courses in the world, is located on the Monterey peninsula, but good luck getting on. Your're going to need to know a member and play with them to get a tee time at Cypress Point.

A couple pieces of advice, look into joining the NCGA (www.ncga.org) before a trip to Pebble Beach, it could save you some money on geens fees and merchandice. Second, be sure to pack a sweater and rain suit, weather on the Monterey Peninsula can be a little chilly and damp.

As far as accommodations are concerened there is a wide range to choose from. You can stay on a low budget, starting around $75.00 a night in the Monterey area, on up to the Pebble Beach Lodge which starts around $675.00 to $2,125 a night. Golf here is a little pricey, it will cast $495.00 to play Pebble Beach and $330.00 for Spy Glass. But if you can afford this, it's worth a visit to play at least once.

If it's more than golf you want, the Monterey area has it. You'll find some of the finest dining in in both Monterey and Carmel. Combine this with the beach, shopping, Sightseeing, winery's, ocean sports (scuba, surfing, and fishing) there's plenty to do on the Monterey peninsula.

My recommendation for a Pebble Beach golf vacation is, GO!!! You will spend some money but its well worth the cost. On your visit, there is one thing that is a must do, take a drive or tour bus down 17 mile drive, you won't be disappointed. With so much to do on the Monterey Peninsula a Pebble Beach golf vacation can be fun for the whole family.
